Leadership  Jim Surace has owned the Surace Agencies of American Income Life (AIL) since 1984. He started with AIL in December of 1982 and in his first full year (1983) was the very first agent to qualify for the Presidential Club two consecutive times. Jim was also runner up to Agent of the Year in 1983 in spite of assuming management of the Cleveland Office in the latter part of the year due to the sudden illness of the then State General Agent. Jim moved through the Company ranks very quickly and in 1984 became one of the youngest Agency Owners in the Company’s history.Jim has taught many of the Company’s Leadership Training Programs at their Executive Offices, Co-authored the State General Agents Management Manual and has served on nearly all of the Company’s Management Boards and Executive Committees. He currently serves as a Charter Member on the esteemed American Income Life/Torchmark Corporation Executive Council. The Council is charged with all of the major decisions and directions of American Income Life. Jim & Nancy are life long residents of North East Ohio. They have 2 children; Steven, has been employed by the Agencies in Management and Public Relations most of his life, and Jamie, who manages their Lead Distribution Systems. They also have 3 grand children, Caleb, Joshua & Naomi who captivate most all of wife Nancy’s time and affections. When Jim is not overseeing the Surace Agency Operations, he is involved in Citywide Ministry. Jim is a Licensed Christian Minister in the State of Ohio, attends Lakeview Church of God in which he has served as Youth Minister for 12 years, and has a heart for Christian Unity in the City. He currently sits on the Board for Harvest-net, which is a unified group of Churches & Christian Businesses seeking to serve NE Ohio through many different outreach ministries. |
